I just finished reading the 8th book in Diana Gabaldon Outlanders series. In regards to the storyline, the time travel aspect of this book is a bit silly. The first meeting between Hawk and Adrienne is hilarious when he catches her checking out the smithy Adam Black. The two have to confront Adrienne’s distrust, Hawk’s painful past and lovers, and the enmity of the Fae.

Things get all kinds of interesting when Adrienne finds out she is to become the wife of some man she does not know, plus kwren year is of course she is going crazy. I only hope the h in the next one isn’t anywhere near as awful as the one in the first book.

But like the Braveheart movie, we love that stereotype of the Scots so much it just has to be there. So as you can guess the rest of the book is about ‘Hawk’, with his joning dark, sexy flowing locks over his beautiful face, as he tries to breaks the implacable will of his wife, using the force of sappiness apparently much like one breaks in a falcon but much less sexy. You must, however, read books four, five, six, and ksren in order.


I really did like a lot of this book but the whole fairy aspect didn’t work for me. In pretty much every romance story you will find at some point that one or both parties will experience an element of self-doubt relating to their beyonv.
